After a lot of thinking about the options for Dave’s Mk2, a plan was concocted….
So with a deep breath it all started again!
The decision was to rebuild!
After finding a very good low mileage (58Kms!!) LHD car originally from Germany Dave set about stripping all the not required standard parts ready for the mammoth task of seam welding task and cage fitment.
The shell was an automatic so already came with the wider gearbox tunnel and once the shell was on a spit and underseal cleaned off was in very good condition. Just needed a couple of repairs to the area of floor where the front wings joined.
More progress to follow!
