I managed to sneak along with the local AVO drive out on Sunday, I don’t think they noticed its a Mk2!
Once we got over the early worries about the weather and got on the road it was nice to meet up with some of the North West AVO Owners in Alderley Edge, and after a brew and a chat had a great spin out to Bakewell.
The Escorts managed to draw some attention in Bakewell and one old guy start chatting about how he had some of these back in the day, it only turns out to be Mick Briant Road Rally legend and all round nice guy with some amazing stories! When I said I read the notes on Mull he says, “Ah that’s one I have not won” You and us both Mick !!, excellent end to a cracking day.
