East Lancashire Classics have this clean 1992 Mk5 Escort RS2000 for sale, with an incredible 24,626 miles since new in the care of just 3 previous owners. This exceptional example has just been released from a very impressive and vast private collection, and is now ready to be used, showed and enjoyed. Complete with a lovely service history, including the original bill of sale, this original car is standard apart from a Scorpion stainless steel exhaust, which sounds superb.
With the exception of a stainless steel exhaust, this stunning car is completely factory standard specification and still wearing all of its factory fitted body panels and glass. It remains in an un-welded and superb condition throughout. The diamond white paintwork is exceptional and has benefitted from a professional detail to remove any light swirl marks. Completely free of any dents, the panels are arrow straight and the panel gap is perfect. Only 3 or 4 very tiny touched in stone chips can be found upon very close scrutiny and are totally within keeping with a low mileage and much loved car. The head lights, indicators and rear lenses are crystal clear and free from damage and the factory fitted tilt and slide sunroof glass is like new and without any staining or water marks. All weather strips and rubbers are excellent. Supplying dealer number plates front and rear still remain fitted.
Internally, it presents like only a low mileage and much cared for car can do. The grey Panache Recaro sports seats still retain tight and un-distorted bolsters and the cloth shows only the very minimal amount of wear. Door cards are free from scuffs or damage and the carpet is super clean and still retains its deep, cut pile texture. The head lining is tight and like new. All switch gear and dials are fully functional and in perfect working order. The 3 spoke leather sports steering wheel is excellent. The original Ford radio cassette is still in place and fully functional and the security code is contained within the history file.
