Up next in the drivetrain refurb was the transfer box, which proved to be bit more of a pain compared to the gearbox! With no part numbers for most of the seals the search for FINIS numbers turned into a search for oil seal manufactures!
So the good news once it was stripped down was there was no damage and looked in very good condition. Which was a good job as finding bits is a case of salvaging parts out of another transfer box. While no part numbers some of the seals were standard sizes so were found easily, but there are a couple of very odd sizes which proved a right pain to source.
The prop seal was one of these! Lost track of the time spent on the phone and internet!
